BRIDGES
What is involved in making the bridge?
Similar to making a crown, the teeth are reduced slightly in size to make room for the crown to cover. After this, a digital scan is taken by the dentist where they design the soon to be crown. Once the design process is complete, the crown is then milled and furnaced on site, ready to be cemented all on the same day.
Looking after your bridge…
It is not possible to predict how long a bridge will last as they are under more pressure than a crown or tooth alone. However, with proper care, it should last a long time.
Daily flossing under the bridge with “Supafloss” and twice daily brushing will help to keep your bridge healthy.
It is also important to attend for regular dental check ups every 6 months.
